CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City State men’s and women’s basketball teams are both in action again Tuesday for a doubleheader at Johnson and Wales University in Denver, Colo.

The Vikings are coming off a sweep of Northern New Mexico on Sunday night. In the men’s game, point guard John Raquel made his season debut after sitting out the first month and a half of the season with an injury. Raquel scored 11 points and dished out three assists in the 82-67 win.

The Johnson and Wales men enter Tuesday’s game with a 1-12 record. The women are Johnson and Wales have a 6-10 record. The doubleheader is scheduled for 6 and 8 p.m. CST.

After Tuesday, the Vikings are off until after Christmas. VCSU’s women will then go to Naples, Fla. for a pair of games Dec. 28 and 29. The Viking men go to California for the Whittier College Tournament on Dec. 29 and 30.

Both teams are back home again for a doubleheader on Jan. 4 against Minnesota-Morris.
