N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A representative from the North Dakota Legislature firmly believes a proposed bill on the House floor regarding state oil tax revenue would be detrimental to the state if passed.
The proposal calls for lowering the oil extraction tax from 6.5 percent to 4.5 percent, which District 12 Rep. Jessica Haak says would lose the state $595 million over the next five years.
Haak says there are other priorities for the state and doesn’t know where that money would then come from to support local communities if this bill was to pass …
