CITY (NewsDakota.com) – Pairings have been set for the District 2 Girls Basketball Tournament beginning this weekend at the Fargo Civic Center.

Central Cass has earned the top seed after posting a 7-0 record in district play. Maple Valley is seeded No. 2. The Raiders and Kindred both went 5-2 in the district, but Maple Valley had the head-to-head tiebreaker.

The first day’s pairings feature Central Cass against No. 8 Richland at 3 p.m. In the second game, No. 4 Enderlin plays No. 5 Oak Grove at about 4:45 p.m.

Maple Valley squares off against No. 7 Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page at about 6:15 p.m., and then No. 3 Kindred and No. 6 Northern Cass wrap up the day with the final game at about 7:45 p.m.

Action continues Saturday at 3 p.m. with two loser-out games and the semifinals. Monday’s schedule features region qualifying games at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., and the championship at about 7:45 p.m.

All games featuring Maple Valley, Enderlin, Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page, Central Cass and Northern Cass will be broadcast on Q101.1.  That includes all four games on Friday, with pre-tournament coverage beginning at about 2:45 p.m.
