MINN. (KFGO News) – Rejection is now setting in for some high school students that were hoping to attend Minnesota State University – Moorhead this fall.

According to reports, MSU-M has begun sending out letters informing 232 high schools students that they did NOT meet enrollment requirements and that the acceptance letters they received were, in fact, a mistake.

University spokesman Dave Walberg …

MSU-M intended to set aside the applications for individual review because the students did not meet the standards for automatic admission, but that never happened. It then took the admissions office six months to realize the mistake.

MSU-M officials say it will offer an academic success program that will allow students into the University if successfully completed.
