CITY (NewsDakota.com) – After having games canceled last weekend due to weather, area college baseball teams will get back at it this weekend for a round-robin tournament in Dickinson.

Valley City State (8-11), Jamestown College (8-8), Dickinson State (11-7) and University of Winnipeg will each play three games during the Friday and Saturday tournament. The weather forecast right now calls for temperatures in the mid 40s.

The Valley City State baseball team will then travel to Mitchell, S.D., on Monday, April 1 to play a pair of games against Dakota Wesleyan (10-10) starting at 4 p.m.

Valley City State is tentatively scheduled to play its first home games April 6 with a doubleheader against Mayville State, but it appears unlikely the field will be ready in time due to cold weather this spring.
