N.D. (AP) (NewsDakota.com) North Dakota’s Senate has approved a 0,000 mobile dental care grant to provide services to low-income children in the state. The Senate approved the measure Friday. North Dakota’s House approved the bill last month. The state Health Department is getting the grant to provide the dental care treatment.

Valley City Senator Larry Robinson strongly supported the bill and cited a couple of success stories with the program.

And the North Dakota’s Senate Shot down a measure that would allow someone with a concealed weapon permit to carry a gun inside a school.  Valley City Representative Dwight Kiefert was a sponsor of the bill. He said one legislators testimony distorted a major fact in the measure.

The Senate endorsed a bill that would permit firearms in places of worship if church officials allowed it and notify law enforcement.

But the Senate rejected a measure that would allow a concealed carry permit holder to have a gun at public gatherings.

Enderlin Representative Naomi Muscha is watching H.B. 1338, the measure focuses on a proposal over the sale of excess land owned by the U-S Army Corps of Engineers.
