(NewsDakota.com) A Brampton man made his initial appearance in Southeast District court Wednesday morning and is facing several charges related to a hit-and-run crash earlier this month which resulted in the death of an Oakes man.
Sargent County State’s Attorney Lyle Bopp says 22 year old Dakota Sutton has been charged with murder, manslaughter, DUI and Driving With A Suspended License. Sutton is accused of striking 28 year-old Reavis Dandridge with his truck on Sargent County Road 2, four miles south of North Dakota Highway 11 around 3 a.m. on April 7. Dandridge was taken by a third party to the Oakes Community Hospital later that morning, where he died from his injuries.
Judge Brad Cruff set bail at $500,000. A next court appearance has yet to be set.
