N.D. – With increasing activity on the state’s roadways, the North Dakota Highway Patrol will be expanding its force. During the 2013  Legislative Session lawmakers approved 15 additional troopers.

“We are excited about the additional troopers,” said Col. Jim Prochniak.  “The added manpower will provide much needed relief to our existing personnel and will also provide valuable assistance to our local law enforcement agencies across North Dakota.”

The Highway Patrol is now authorized for 198 full-time employees.  The additional 15 positions will bring the total amount to 213 employees. The hiring process is open and all interested applicants should visit www.nd.gov/ndhp for hiring information.
