(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes Post 36 American Legion baseball team is still looking for a run in a seven-inning game in the 2013 season.

For the second time in as many days, Post 36 was unable to score a single run; this time falling to Enderlin Post 221 3-0 at Cummings Field in Oakes on Tuesday night.

Just as Monday’s game versus LaMoure played out, Post 36 committed a couple of key errors that resulted in scoring for Enderlin on Tuesday. Jon Tyre’s wild pitch allowed Thomas Lindgren to score in the second, which proved to be the winning run. Lindgren added another run in the sixth, and Casey Langland scored in the seventh for Post 221.

Post 36 managed just two hits off of Post 221 starter Spencer Gillund, who struck out seven batters. Tyre took the loss for Oakes, also going seven innings, allowing five hits while striking out five.

In the second contest consisting of five innings, Oakes was victorious by a score of 5-1. Cole Kelly earned the win for Post 36 and Bryce Meehl earned a save.
