CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The summer baseball season kicks off this week in Valley City.
Both the Valley City Babe Ruth and Legion baseball teams are scheduled to open the season on Tuesday.
The Post 60 Legion baseball team has three games scheduled this week, beginning with a 6 p.m. road game Tuesday at Thompson. On Thursday, Post 60 goes to Grafton. The home opener for Post 60 is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. when Lidgerwood comes to Charlie Brown Field.
On the Babe Ruth side, Valley City is scheduled to open the season at home Tuesday with a 4 p.m. game against LaMoure. On Wednesday, Valley City will travel to Enderlin for a 4 p.m. doubleheader.
All of those games are, of course, weather permitting.
