CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Police arrested a 38-year-old Valley City man following a report of assault Tuesday morning in the 900 block of 3rd Street southwest.

Joffrey Akwey faces simple assault and domestic battery charges. Police Chief Fred Thompson says no weapons were involved in this incident.

The 23-year old male victim was treated for injuries and released at a local hospital.
