CITY (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City State University held its annual Viking Scramble Golf Tournament this past weekend in Valley City.

The team of Shane Ost, Ben Sorenson, Travis Ingstad, Jeremy Koepplin and Trevor Justesen took first place overall with a team total of 57 over 18 holes at both the Valley City Country Club and Bjornson Park Golf Course.

Second in the championship division went to the team of Trevor Hansen, Derrick Rodgers, Justin Thornton, Erik Hansen and Brock Graff. They finished with a 59.

In the open division, two teams tied for first with a 65. After a tiebreaker, first place went to Rob Keller, Dan Schulties, Pete Rasmussen and Brent Sorenson. Second place went to Gregg Horner, John Olstad, David Meyer and David Obey.
