N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Not a whole lot of action for the Jamestown Fire Crews this past week. According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, there were only two runs between July 26th and August 1st.

Since 2012, there have been a total of 254 fire calls according to Jim Ruether. Below are the two calls the department responded to over the past week.

July 26th, 2:15PM, fire department heavy rescue squad responded to I-94 East Bound Exit #269, to a report of a person/s trapped to a vehicle. Firefighters extricated person/s from vehicle. Cause-vehicle rollover. No firefighter injuries. Time out 1 hour 10 minutes.

July 30th, 8:44AM, ready squad responded to 1300 2nd Place NE, Eventide, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.
