FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota state senator who pleaded guilty to an alcohol-related driving charge says he was unaware his passenger possessed marijuana and marijuana pipes.

Senator Joe Miller served a day in jail after pleading guilty last month.

Authorities say Miller doesn’t face any drug-related charges stemming from the June incident.
