CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A two vehicle crash seriously injured 2 women in the heart of downtown Valley City Friday afternoon around 5 o’clock.
Highway Patrol Sgt Troy Wolf says a truck driven by 69-year-old Sandra Burchill of rural Valley City was traveling at a high rate of speed on main and collided with a car driven by 65-year-old Geraldine Knutson of Valley City at the intersection of main and 2nd avenue.
Wolf says the impact from the crash struck two parked vehicles and push one onto a sidewalk in front of the VFW Club. Barnes County Fire & Rescue crews extricated both women from their vehicles.
Wolf says both woman were transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for treatment of serious injuries. The condition of the two women has not been released. Wolf says alcohol was not a factor and the crash remains under investigation.
