(NewsDakota.com)- The Jimmies and Vikings will meet at Taylor Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the first of two games in the storied Paint Bucket game. The University of Jamestown has already played once, losing this past Friday to Rocky Mountain College 34-20. For Valley City State it will be their first game on 2013.

The two teams played twice each of the last two years following the dissolving of the DAC. The Vikings had won three in-a-row before the Jimmies 13-10 win last October at Shelly Ellig Field.

Both games last year had 13-10 scores with the visiting team winning each time. In the second game, Jimmie QB Beau Eriksson made his first start and threw a late touchdown pass to Trent Roemmich to win the game.

The Vikings will have some new looks on offense with the loss of All-American TE Ken Eliacin and QB Tommy Zinke. Freshman Kurtis Walls will be the starter for VCSU at QB.

Kick-off is slated for 1pm on Saturday afternoon. You can catch the game on 1400 KQDJ and NewsDakota.com with the pregame show at 12:30pm.
