JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – As they say, there are two seasons in North Dakota. Winter season and Construction season. Jamestown is still in construction season.

Some projects are nearing completion and others are in full swing in the city of Jamestown.

White Drug Pharmacy will be moving from their old location in the Park Plaza Shopping Center to the new remodeled China Garden building. They plan to close White’s Home Decor and the White’s Tux shop later this fall.

expansion project at Ave Maria Village is in full swing as crews work on a new chapel, family suite and transportation center. The .32 million expansion is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.

Work is still happening on the Jamestown sewer lines. In the picture below, huge trenches are being dug by machines used to bury the lines at depths of up to 12 feet.

The new Jamestown water tower construction is up and progressing as scheduled. Located east of the Infinity Lumber in the Jamestown Business Park, work will continue.

There is still the need to find a permanent bus stop in Jamestown. But Jefferson Lines representative Bob Musil and the city agreed to use the shelter by the tracks across from Babb’s for the buses to stop.
