CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) About 150 people officials employed with area Park & Recreation District across the state attended the North Dakota Recreation & Park State Convention this week in Valley City.

Mark Fenton, a nationally acclaimed authority on transportation, planning and public health spoke the challenges and opportunities many communities have for designing walkways and bike paths to inspire more physical activity for young and old alike across the state.
Mark Fenton does a walkabout with Park & Rec officials from across the North Dakota in Valley City for the statewide convention. Fenton says Valley City like many other cities has done a good job promoting the construction of walking and bike paths. Fenton works tirelessly to promote making a better and safer designs for cities across the nation.
The state convention wrapped up Thursday in Valley City.
