(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown girls golf team punched their ticket to the state tournament next Monday and Tuesday at Kings Walk in Grand Forks. The Jays finished in a tie for fourth, but won the tie break thanks to No. 5 golfer Kaitlin Mullowney’s 108 being lower than Dickinson’s No. 5 score.

The conditions were tough at the Jamestown Country Club for the WDA meet. Jamestown’s Sierra Bennion post a 90, but was not the Jays lowest score. The lowest score went to Maria LeFevre who carded an 89 with a quadruple bogey on her final hole.

Bismarck High’s 373 was the low team score with Jamestown just six shots back with their 379, shows just how close the top-5 teams were.

The state meet will be in Grand Forks next week played at the beautiful Kings Walk course.
