CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An FBI agent was shot Monday night near Watford City.

While assisting McKenzie County authorities serve a drug warrant, the agent was shot and suffered a non-life threatening injury and was later released. One person has been arrested for the incident. No other details are being released at this time.

McKenzie County authorities are working with a multi-agency task force to work on the rapid rising number of crimes in and around the North Dakota oil patch.
