CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A U-S Forest Service grant aimed at helping Barnes County residents take steps to avoid having their homes and other buildings destroyed by out of control grass fires is now available. Barnes County Soil Conservation District Spokeswoman Lori Frank tells us about the “Fire Wise” grant.

Frank says a number of steps can be taken to protect property from grass fires.
