N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The second reading for the new ordinance pertaining to the regulation of sexually oriented businesses of adult cabarets and escort services was read before the Jamestown City Council on October 7th.

Following a unanimous approval by the Council, the ordinance passed. A few stated concerns and others commended the Council for remaining vigilant through the negotiations of the ordinance. But, Mayor Katie Anderson says without an ordinance, any business of that type could have set up wherever they wanted to.

Mayor Anderson also reminded everyone that there still is no interest in establishing any sort of adult business in Jamestown up to this point.
