N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Curbside Recycling was a topic of discussion at the Jamestown City Council’s Fire Committee and Public Works Committee meeting.
Curbside Recycling has been reviewed before and studies have been made. Issue’s arose with the automated trash collection and cost efficiency.
The Jamestown Recycling Task Force has surveyed roughly 1,184 people in Jamestown, finding that about 75% of residents would be willing to pay monthly fees for curbside recycling.
With about 1,500 tons of garbage going through the baler and into landfills in Jamestown each month, curbside recycling has become more prominent. The committee said they would review additional information on recycling and discuss it at the next City Council meeting.
