N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Health has announced a recent outbreak of Hepatitis A in Catholic Churches.
A list of churches affected with the Hepatitis A outbreak as well as dates of possible infection include:
September 27th – Holy Spirit Church in Fargo, N.D.
September 29th – St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks, N.D.
September 29th through October 2nd – St. James Basilica in Jamestown, N.D.
October 6th – Cathedral of St. Mary in Fargo N.D.
October 7th – St. Paul’s Catholic Newman Center in Fargo, N.D.
The exposure possibility from the St. James Basilica is from the priest convention that took place. According to Robin Iszler, Unit Administrator for Central Valley Health, the risk isn’t too high.
If you start seeing symptoms associated with Hepatitis A, seek medical attention immediately.
