CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) An erosion study of the Sheyenne River banks in Valley City will soon be completed. The engineering firm of URS Corporation conducted the study and the results will be released during a public meeting on Thursday night.
City Commissioner Madeline Luke advocated the study. She says URS project engineer and senior hydrologist Abby Korte will give a presentation on the study results Thursday at 7pm inside the city commission chambers.
Earlier this year the Valley City commission approved of spending $60,000 for the comprehensive study of the Sheyenne River banks. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting.
