N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Concerns had been raised with JCPenney officials after seeing disastrous Holiday Sales Numbers.

Because of that, JCPenney has moved to close 33 stores nationwide, which should save the company more than $65 million annually. The cuts will lay off roughly 2,000 people nationwide.

There are no stores in North Dakota that will be closing, but there are several in surrounding states including Montana, Minnesota, and Iowa.
