N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Some 230 contestants participated in the 31st annual Lake Ashtabula fishing derby in Sibley, North Dakota. The number of fish weighed in were 15 walleyes, 2 northern pike and 48 perch.
In the Walleye division: Mac Cimbura of Jamestown caught a beautiful 10.19 pound walleye to catch first place. Vicki Klein of Jamestown caught a 1.93 pound walleye for second place and Mac Cimbura of Jamestown caught a 1.79 pound fish for third place.
In the Perch division: Glenn Anderson of Bismarck caught a .64 pound perch followed by Ben Lokken of Jamestown who caught a .62 and a .59 pound perch to capture 2nd and 3rd place.
In the Northern Pike division: Tim Clemens of Hannaford caught a .45 pound pike and Kevin Eberle of Dazey caught a .16 pound pike. The drawing was won by Parker Skolness of Glyndon, Minnesota.
The Ticket Cash Winners: $300 went to Jonah Paintner of Breckenridge, Minnesota, $200 to Al Bender of Sibley and $100 to Goose Kapaun of Valley City.
