(NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinal boys basketball team traveled to Langdon last night for a Region 4 match-up, while the Cardinal girls basketball team stayed at home to play No. 10 Lakota/Edmore. The boys picked up their first victory in 2014, their last since December 17th, 55-43 over Langdon, they improve to 6-5 overall, Langdon still looking for their first victory this season as they drop to 0-11.
The girls fell to the Raiders 53-40 at the Carrington High School Gym last night, Card girls fall to 1-1 in District 7, 6-3 overall. Lakota/Edmore improves to 1-0 in District 7 and 6-3 overall. Kayla Hochhalter led the way for Carrington with 16 points. The Raiders were led by Fallyn Freije with 18.
Next up for the Carrington boys basketball team will be this Friday night in Carrington against District 7 team and No. 3 Four Winds/Minnewaukan. The Card girls will host District 7 Harvey/Wells County this Thursday night.
