(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown fell behind early and never recovered in a 8-4 nonconference defeat Tuesday night in boys hockey at Fargo North. The Spartans were lethal on the powerplay, converting on 4 of 7.

The Blue Jays received goals from Nick Stockert, Auston Rene, Jared Schultz and Jack Jenson. It was the first career varsity goal for Schultz. Ty Spitzer was given his first career varsity start in the net, and the Senior came up with 27 saves. Jamestown outshot North 38-35.

“We didn’t do a very good job of penalty killing tonight.” said head coach Matt Stockert. The Jays saw their record slip to 5-8. Next up is a trip to West Fargo Thursday to battle the Packers in a nonconference match-up at 7:30 pm, with the broadcast on 103.1 The Raven.
