N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run reports for January 10th through the 21st.

According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, there was a total of 259 calls in 2013. There were 10 different runs that the Fire Department was called to this past week. Below is the full list of runs and times for the Jamestown Fire Department.

January 10th, 2:22PM, ready squad responded to 1300 2nd Place NE, Eventide, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

January 12th, 2:28PM, ready squad responded to 610 7th Ave NE, U of Jamestown Library, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-detector. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.

January 13th, 5:04PM, fire department hazmat team responded to 1530 6th Ave SW, Buffalo Motel, to a report of a strong smell. Firefighters ventilated the office and basement area and investigated. Cause-(2) different chemical used to in the floor drain. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour 15 minutes.

January 16th, 1:44PM, ready squad responded to 123 7th Ave SE, Repair Shop, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-possible electrical malfunction. Time out 20 minutes.

January 17th, 12:23PM, ready squad responded to 1201 4th St NE, Seventh Day Adventist School, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.

January 19th, 7:07PM, ready squad responded to 204 Hillcrest Drive, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 50ppm was detected. Firefighters advised occupants to have gas fired equipment serviced by a qualified firm or individual. Cause-gas appliance malfunction. Time out 25 minutes.

January 20th, 11:03PM, ready squad responded to 1810 26th Ave SW, Titan Machinery, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Firefighters were unable to make entry, no key holder. Time out 1 hour.

January 21st, 10:01AM, fire department responded to 103 1st Ave South, Buffalo City Rotisserie Grill, to a report of a fire in the smoker. Firefighters extinguished a small fire in the smoker. Cause-unknown. No injuries reported. Time out 45 minutes.

January 21st, 3:15PM, ready squad responded to 1307 13th St NE, UTC Aerospace Systems, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-broken sprinkler head. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

January 22nd, 12:50PM, ready squad responded to 2404 Circle Drive, NDSH-Tompkins Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-fire drill. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.

January 22nd, 3:37PM, ready squad responded to 2404 Circle Drive, NDSH-Thompkins Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt toast. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
