N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The National Weather Service has released a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of North Central North Dakota through the James River Valley this afternoon through tonight.

A strong cold front is expected to bring Northwest winds capable of gusting up the 45 MPH this afternoon and tonight. Snowfall is expected this evening as well, bringing around one inch of snow. The snow combined with the wind is expected to cut visibility to under one half mile at times.

Areas to be affected include Carrington, Steele, Jamestown, Napoleon, Wishek, LaMoure and Edgeley. Visibility will improve as the winds taper off later into Saturday morning.
