(NewsDakota.com) The Carrington High School wrestling team finshed first at the East/West Tournament in New Salem over the weekend.

The Cardinals finished with 286.5 points followed by South border (204), Lisbon ( !95), Minot Bishop Ryan (141) and Oakes (119).

Oakes had seven grapples place in the event. Michael Kelly and Cole Ehrlin were champions at 285 and 170 pounds respectfully. Cole Kelly took 4th at 220. Chris Schmit was 6th at 113, and Jon Brummund, Scott Ketterling and Jed Bopp took 7th at 120, 170 and 182 pounds.
