(NewsDakota.com)  The Cardinals improve to 4-1 in District 7 last night as they beat the Mustangs 82-21.  Midkota/Kensal drops to 1-4 in district play and 5-9 overall.  Carrington is 10-4 overall.

Senior Guard Jacey Engelhorn of Carrington led all scorers with 24 points, followed by Senior Kayla Hochhalter with 13 and Junior Lynzee Hagemeister added 12.  Saddie Harding had nine points for the Mustangs.  Carrington led at halftime 43-12, they ended the game with 14 turnovers.  Midkota/Kensal had 25 turnovers.

Next up for Carrington will be tomorrow at Shiloh Christian High School in Bismarck against No. 5 Beach at 5:30pm.  AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com will have coverage starting right after the Region 2 Individual Wrestling Tourney in Hillsboro. 

Also this week, Senior Kayla Hochhalter of Carrington signed a letter of intent to participate in Track and Field at the University of Iowa.
