Wesley Karvonen, 70, Enderlin, North Dakota died Thursday evening February 5, 2014 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

     Wesley Karvonen was born April 14, 1943 at Edgeley, ND, the son of Oscar Karvonen and Esther (Dormonen) Karvonen. He received his elementary education in local school, graduating from the Lehr High School. He entered the National Guard July 7, 1969 at Fredonia, ND. He was discharged in September of 1969 and continued to reside on the farm.

     He and Judy Champagne were married April 15, 1990 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home on the farm near Fredonia, ND until 2009 when they moved to Enderlin, ND.

     Surviving are his wife Judy, Enderlin, ND, step-children, Brenda (Steve) Gregorich, Duluth, MN; Jim (Sheila) Grawe, Wahpeton, ND; Jeff (Debbie) Grawe, Aurora, CO; and 11 step-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Marvin, 1 half-brother, Norbert Holmstrom and 2 half-sisters, Verna Rappana and Florence Kinzler.

     Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday, February 10, 2014 in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND with Rev. Raino Maunu, officiating.

     Interment will be made in the Saarie Cemetery, South of Gackle, ND. (spring)
