N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization based in Jamestown that provides planting and harvesting assistance free of charge to family members who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster, has received a grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation.

For every dollar donated by new sponsors, grants and individual donors, The Otto Bremer Foundation will match it, up to $35,000. In 2013, Farm Rescue helped a record 50 farm families. That brings the total number of families helped since Farm Rescue was started to 252 families.

The Otto Bremer Foundation and Bremer Bank were the first sponsors of Farm Rescue and continue to support the organization. In 2013, a cumulative donation of $100,000 was donated from the two entities.
