CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Barnes County has an opening for a Sheriff’s Deputy position. Sheriff Randy McClaflin told the board of commissioners that with an increase in case loads along with some growth on the western edge of the county another deputy would help with the daily workload.

The Barnes County commission voted 4 to one to approve hiring another deputy during their regular meeting on March 4. Commissioner John Froehlich voted no.
