CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) Valley City States’ Brittany Lehner has been named an honorable mention to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association NAIA All-American Team.
Lehner led her team in scoring and rebounds this season averaging 18 points and seven boards a game. She hit 59 percent of her shots from the field this year finishing second in the nation. IF that wasn’t enough, three different times the senior forward torched defenses for 30 plus points.
The Watertown, South Dakota Native will leave her mark on the record books at Valley City State finishing her career 4th all-time in scoring, 6th in rebounding and second in career shooting percentage.
Lehner was one of 20 players named Honorable Mention All-Americans. 10 players were announced as first team WBCA NAIA All-Americans.
