CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Beautification Committee is sponsoring a Tree Trimming/Shrub Pruning Seminar Thursday, March 27 in the Training Lab at the Regional Technology Center, 415 Winter Show Road from 1- 3 p.m. with a repeat session from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. 

Sharon Bartels, Community Forestry Specialist, a 20 year veteran employee of the North Dakota Forest Service, based in Lisbon, ND will lead the seminar. Bartels will show you how to properly prune trees and shrubs. She will cover the various tools and proper technique to use to prune and trim. 

A classroom and hands on demonstration for shrub pruning will be done on the grounds of the Regional Technology Center and tree trimming along the east edge of Medicine Wheel Park.

The Seminar is open to contractors, tree trimmers, public employees and the public.  Anyone that trims trees or prunes shrubs is welcome.
