(NewsDakota.com) Brett Lyman retired the last 15 batters he faced and allowed only one hit as the Cards downed the Knights 9-0 yesterday at Carrington City Park. Lyman went the distance throwing only 69 pitches with five strikeouts and no walks. Carrington improves to 9-4 overall, Dakota Prairie drops to 2-8 overall.
For Carrington, Alex Stusynski was 2 for 4 at the plate with an RBI, Jake Edland was 2 for 3 with two RBI. Eric Gilbertson had the only hit for Dakota Prairie, he was 1 for 2.
Next up for the Cards will be this Friday in Casselton against Pembina County North starting at 10:30am pregame on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com. They will play a double header this Saturday in Casselton as well for the Enderlin/Casselton Tourney. At 2pm they will play Northern Cass and then about 5:30pm against Central Cass. All games will be broadcast and will start approximately 15 minutes before each start time on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com.
