(NewsDakota.com) – Tanner Dahl was honored as the North Star pitcher of the year after Monday’s win over Mayville St. The sophomore from West Fargo finished with a record of 9-1. Landon Uetz and coach Tom Hager were also selected for awards. Uetz was named newcomer of the year and Hager coach of the year.

The other big awards went to Mayville State’s Spencer Kidder as most valuable senior and Valley City State’s Brady Anderson took home the NSAA player of the year.

Mitch Stevens, Spencer Flaten, Nolan Skrownek, and Rudy Strnad all joined Dahl on the all-conference team. Stevens, Strnad and Erik Peterson took home gold glove awards (those three play 1B, SS, and 3B respectively).

The Jimmie won’t know where they are headed in the national tournament until Friday night at 7pm when the pairings and sites are released. First game is slated for Monday and will be broadcast on 1400/97.1 KQDJ and NewsDakota.com.
