(NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure-Litchville/Marion baseball team started out well enough in their contest on the road against Northern Cass on Tuesday afternoon. The visiting Loboes scored the first two runs of the game, but the hometown Jaguars scored the next eight runs on their way to an 8-5 victory.

LLM (1-5 Class B Region 1) had three hits in a row to start the game off of Dawson Hayden, and managed to score a run in the first and third innings. Anthony Olson was able to hold Northern Cass (6-5 Region 1) easily the first time through the lineup with five strikeouts, but the second and third times through proved to be far more challenging.

The Jags put up two runs to tie the game in the bottom of the third, and another six runs on five hits in the fourth to pull ahead. The Loboes managed two runs in the top of the seventh, but the deficit was too much to overcome.

Olson went four innings allowing seven hits in the loss. Brady Theilges was a perfect four for four with three singles, a double and two runs scored.

LLM will join Oakes and Hankinson-Fairmount-Lidgerwood in a triangular of games on Thursday in Oakes, and Friday in Lidgerwood. Q101.1FM and NewsDakota.com will have all the Loboe games.
