CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) St. Cloud Technical and Community College standout Riley West has signed his letter of intent to join the Valley City State Basketball team for the upcoming season.

The 6-foot point guard was a 2-year starter at St. Cloud Tech. and helped lead the team to a 22-6 record this past season. He averaged 14.5 points and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 34 percent on 3-pointers and 78 percent on free throws. 

During West’s time with the Cyclones he broke eight different school records, including most pints in a game (36) and most game assists (13). He also holds the top mark at the school for career assists, 3-pointers, and free throws.

 The Lakeville, Minnesota native is the first transfer the Vikings have brought in for the upcoming season. He will join Milnor’s Briton Bussman, Williston’s Jayden Ferguson, and Bismarck’s Alex Quest in the 2014 recruiting class.
