(NewsDakota.com)- Despite not winning a single tournament, the Jays boy’s golf team has won the WDA regular season championship for the first time in school history. They have been the most consistent team with six second-place finishes and again finished one stroke behind Century yesterday at Riverwood in Bismarck.

The Patriots won the meet with a 312, one stroke better than Jamestown. The Jays did have the medalist as Brandon Stahlhut’s even-par 72 was the best score of the day. He eagled the 18th to seal the tournament victory, his second career.

Jamestown will host the WDA meet on May 27th and state will also be held at the Jamestown Country Club on June 3rd and 4th.
