N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Medical Center continues to screen for breast cancer in many patients with their new 3D Mammography equipment.
Lisa Jackson with the JRMC Foundation, stated that the new technology allowed them to find cancer a lot earlier than the traditional 2D mammography.
Jackson also stated that this was crucial because the tissues in our bodies and cancer look the same, so the imaging makes a bigger impact. The JRMC has had a 20% increase in finding breast cancers.
