FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Mosquitoes that carry West Nile virus have been found in Grand Forks.  The state health department says it’s the first confirmation of the “culex tarsalis” type of mosquito in the state this year.

You’re encouraged to use a repellant that contains “deet.”  It’s also a good idea to wear long sleeves and long pants when outdoors, especially at dusk and in the early morning when mosquito-numbers are the highest.  Last year, 127 people were diagnosed with West Nile virus in North Dakota.
