LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Three men were ticketed for traveling over 150 MPH in a 55 MPH zone in Devils Lake, North Dakota.
A trooper with the North Dakota Highway Patrol working on Highway 57, three miles west of Ft. Totten, clocked the three performance motorcycles reaching speeds of 151 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on Wednesday night. The three Devils Lake men were issued speeding citations and a fee of $355 has been assessed to each of them.
Valley News Live reports that additional citations were also issued for driving without a motorcycle endorsement and no liability insurance. The men were cited to appear in Benson County Court on August 11 for reckless driving, a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a maximum fine of $1,500.
