CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Seal coat work is underway in Valley City. The seal coat work will take approximately 1-2 days. The seal coat project should be completed by Tuesday, August 19 according to KLJ engineer Chad Petersen.
During this time on-street parking will be prohibited within the project limits. Access to residential properties and businesses will be disrupted while the work is being completed in each project area; however, these should be minimal. Motorists need to be aware of these construction activities and are advised to drive carefully. A city map route of the seal coat project is listed below.
Meanwhile,KLJ engineer Erik Gilbertson says construction for a water main replacement project is underway near Mercy Hospital and Sanford Clinic. Streets affected by construction are 6th Street NE from 5th Avenue NE to the Hospital Bridge.
The driving public needs to be aware that 6th Street NE may be closed during the project and access to Mercy Hospital may not be available from the north. There will be full access from the south along 6th Avenue NE.
