Schroeder, 70, of Hecla, SD, passed away September 10, 2014, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Sharon Ann, daughter of Sydney and Helen (Ollie) Bruggeman was born July 2, 1944 at Thief River Falls, Minnesota. She attended catholic school through the 8th grade and graduated from Thief River Falls High School in 1962. She then attended Thief River Falls Vocational School for business administration. She united in marriage to Cliff Schroeder on July 10, 1965 at Thief River Falls, and together they were blessed with four children, Teresa, Brent, Steve and Bryan. They made their home in Hecla, where Sharon spent the majority of her life raising their children and providing for her husband. In 2002, she became employed with the Good Samaritan Society, Oakes, ND working there until the time of her death.
Sharon loved spending time with her family. She was an awesome cook, and enjoyed baking and cooking, always having a sit down meal ready for them. She also enjoyed sewing and crafts, and loved Christmas. Sharon had a very kind heart and was always doing nice things for other people. She had a strong faith and love for God. Sharon was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and was also currently the Hecla Township Clerk, serving that position for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Cliff; her daughter and family, Teresa (Charlie) Cantwell of Hudson, CO and Colby (Amanda) Cantwell and Austin & Adrien, Brianna (fiance’ Kody Pierce) and Kaydence, Casey (Tay) Cantwell, and Cassan Cantwell; son Brent (fiance’ Barb Yeats) Schroeder and Sydney, Hecla, SD; son Steve (Patti) Schroeder, Rapid City, SD; and son Bryan Schroeder and Hayle of Hecla. She is also survived by her sisters, Sandy (Ed) Davidson, Sun City West, AZ and Joni (Rod) Carlson, Sioux Falls, SD; and her step-father, Vern Noyes of Eager, Arizona. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Sydney and her mother Helen.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Hecla, SD. Her funeral mass will be Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Hecla, with burial to follow at the Hecla City Cemetery.
