N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the week of October 2nd through the 9th.

According to Fire Chief Jim Ruehter, the JFD responded to 259 total calls in 2013. So far for 2014, they have responded to 222 total calls. Below is a full list of calls they responded to for the week including dates, locations and times of each call.

October 3rd, 5:53AM, ready squad responded to 1300 2nd Place NE, Eventide, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was rest. Time out 30 minutes.

October 4th, 1:52PM, fire department responded to 1512 16th St SW, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke in the structure. Firefighters detected no fire, but extract smoke. Cause-materials on or close by an heat source. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.

October 4th, 2:00PM, ready squad responded to 403 1st Ave North, Multi Family Dwelling, to a investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt food. Fire alarm was rest. Time out 25 minutes.

October 7th, 4:51AM, ready squad responded to 509 2nd Ave SW, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-electrical receptacle shorted. Time out 20 minutes.

October 8th, 9:56AM, ready squad responded to 1112 9th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate smell of some type of odor. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 30 minutes.

October 8th, 4:18PM, fire department responded to 921 9th St SE, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke in structure. Firefighters detected no fire, light smoke present. Cause-electrical fixture shorted out. No injuries reported. Time out 20 minutes.

October 9th, 4:02PM, ready squad responded to 300 2nd Ave NE, Jamestown Business Center, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-alarm company testing system. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

October 9th, 7:54PM, ready squad responded to 1218 6th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate some type of a smell of odor. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-possible paint fumes. Time out 35 minutes.
