OAKES (NewsDakota.com) Erik Loepp ran for three touchdowns, and Bryce Meehl threw for another two scores as the Oakes High School football team took down Milnor-North Sargent 56-26 on Friday Night.

(7-0, 6-0 Class A Region 1) had their senior running back score from 3, 4 and 60 yards, all in the first half. Meehl connected with Blake Hollingsworth for 68 yards in the second quarter, and Carter Zetocha with no time left in the opening half.

The number two team in Class A will have home-field advantage for at least round one of the post-season, which starts in two weeks. The regular season finale is in Carrington on Saturday, October 18. The Cardinals have the same record as Oakes, and the game will decide the Region I Champion, and determine home-field advantage throughout the post-season.
